Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience including leadership as a Controller.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with consolidated financial statements.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, intercompany.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, multi-entity reporting, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, ERP systems, and processes.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational performance.
• Partner with operations, sales, and leadership to provide financial insights.
• Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions and financial modeling.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.

KBW has partnered with a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners directly with ownership to provide strategic financial guidance while overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, multi-entity reporting requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and other business partners.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, ERP systems, and financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational performance while supporting profitability initiatives.
• Partner with operations, sales, and executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, business expansion opportunities, and financial modeling.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience as a Controller
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Compensation: $120,000 - 140,000 plus benefits.
