We are a lean and collaborative team that works with a high degree of trust and autonomy in a flexible work environment, while also setting high expectations for the company, each department, and employee. This role is at the intersection of finance, operations, and investment analysis — where your precision and ownership relieves senior leadership to focus on strategy. The Controller owns the close schedule, stewards cash flow, and brings financial rigor to investment due diligence.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Financial Reporting Excellence: You ensure the family office has accurate, timely, and well-organized financial statements and general ledger records, providing leadership with the clarity and confidence needed to make informed decisions.
  • Investment Accounting Mastery: You serve as a reliable steward of the portfolio, maintaining precise investment schedules, performance reporting, and capital activity records while collaborating with the Investment Committee to support sound investment decisions.
  • Tax Compliance & Planning: You protect the family's financial interests by proactively coordinating with external advisors, ensuring all federal and state obligations are met on time, and contributing meaningful analysis that supports strategic tax planning.
  • Operational Integrity: You build and maintain efficient, well-documented financial processes, internal controls, and recordkeeping systems that reduce risk, ensure compliance, and create a seamless operational experience across payroll, real estate, insurance, and charitable activities.
  • Trusted Advisor to Leadership: You will guide the executive team by delivering accurate data, anticipating needs, communicating proactively, and consistently finding ways to improve systems and reporting — making you an indispensable partner in managing the complexity of a sophisticated family office.
