Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking a Controller for an onsite, direct-hire opportunity with a manufacturing client.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility, with manufacturing and cannabis manufacturing experience preferred. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, inventory and cost accounting, and partner with leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

• Cannabis manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Review and analyze inventory balances, product costs, variances, and related financial data.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and support accounting cleanup as needed.
• Provide financial guidance to leadership and communicate key accounting and operational findings.
• Support audit activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.
• Work closely with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and effective accounting processes.

The Controller position is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
