Job summary

SingleSource Property Solutions, LLC is seeking a controller to oversee the accounting team, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. This hands-on leadership role reports to the CFO and is based in Canonsburg, PA with a hybrid schedule.

You will lead close processes, ensure GAAP-compliant statements, maintain strong internal controls, and provide financial insights to executive leadership. Collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership preferred.
• Hands-on background with month-end close, GL, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• ERP/accounting systems experience (Great Plains, Dynamics, Sage).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management daily.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Provide variance analysis and financial insights to leadership.
• Lead and develop the accounting team with clear processes and accountability.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners.
• Evaluate processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.

Job description

SingleSource is looking for a well-rounded accounting professional to join our team as a controller, overseeing our accounting team, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong corporate accounting experience who is comfortable taking ownership of processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and strengthening financial controls. In this role, you'll work closely with our CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and reporting. This is a hybrid role that will report to our Canonsburg, PA office.

What You'll Do

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Provide variance analysis and financial insights to help leadership understand business performance.
• Lead, support, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear processes, expectations, and accountability.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
• Evaluate current accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; previous leadership experience is a plus but not required.
• Hands-on accounting background with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Financial Services or mortgage industry background is a plus.
• Proficiency working with ERP or accounting systems such as Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with the accounting team, executive leadership, and external partners.
• Familiarity with multi-entity or joint venture accounting is a plus.
