Job description

High-growth, PE backed tech startup client in Boston is seeking a Corporate Controller to report directly into the CFO and direct all accounting operations for the company including month end close, audit, tax, etc. This position will be FULLY REMOTE, but the candidate must reside within driving distance of Boston, as there will be infrequent meetings with the CFO in the area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the month, quarter, and year end closing processes in conjunction with the CFO
• Assist with technical accounting matters and provide guidance on corporate transactions
• Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational systems and cost effectiveness
• Manage the annual audit process and act as POC for auditors
• Communicate findings and present to executive team and PE firm
• Oversee a small to medium sized accounting team

Required

• US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Local to the New England area (driving distance of Boston)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA designation
• 8-10+ years of accounting experience, including multiple years of leadership experience
• Foundation in public accounting, with preferably experience at a high-growth, startup company within private industry

Compensation is a strong, 185-220k salary + 20% bonus + equity + benefits
