Job summary

Qualifications

• CPA certification active/in good standing.
• 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading audits and strengthening internal controls.
• Background in project-based, construction, service, or similar environments with exposure to job costing and margin/WIP concepts.
• Experience improving financial processes and/or optimizing ERP/accounting systems to increase accuracy, speed, and visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall finance and accounting function, including financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow, and executive-level reporting.

IDR is seeking aController to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Birmingham, AL. This is a hands-on finance leadership role within a stable, long-established organization in a project-based services industry. You’ll lead accounting operations, strengthen controls and reporting, and partner with business leaders to improve job costing, margin visibility, and operational performance.

Position Overview for the Controller:

• Lead the overall finance and accounting function, including financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow, and executive-level reporting

Requirements for the Controller:
