Kiddie Academy, headquartered in Bel Air, MD, is seeking a Controller to implement and maintain financial policies, accounting practices, and internal controls across the organization. You will oversee AR/AP, support budgeting, and ensure timely financial reporting while guiding accounting staff.

The role requires extensive GAAP knowledge, leadership experience, and ERP proficiency, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across 345+ academies nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

As the Controller, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Company's financial policies, accounting practices, internal controls, and fiscal recordkeeping processes. You will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, help support the annual budgeting process, complete various state filings and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting. A combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience is preferred.Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting.Experience managing accounting and reporting for multiple legal entities.Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; experience with ERP implementations or system conversions is a plus.We are growing fast, and the future is bright!
