CFS in Bakersfield is seeking a proactive Controller to lead the accounting function for an inventory-intensive operation. You will partner with executive and operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to influence profitability and growth.

You will develop ERP reporting, dashboards, and financial analytics while strengthening controls and managing a skilled accounting team in a stable industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5+ years in accounting or finance in inventory-heavy industries.
  • Strong inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cost accounting experience.
  • Experience leading accounting staff and advanced Excel with ERP/BI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting team and oversee financial reporting activities.
  • Manage cost accounting, inventory tracking, reconciliations, and cost allocations.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Partner with operations leadership on budgeting, planning, and business initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance ERP reporting, dashboards, and financial analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

  • Strong inventory accounting and inventory reconciliation experience.
  • Cost accounting experience including allocations, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Experience leading and developing accounting staff.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
