Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting operations for a PE-backed construction/service company growing via acquisitions. The role leads a small accounting team, partners with leadership, and drives process improvements to support business growth.

You will manage intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and close processes, while delivering insights to executives to guide planning and decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of financial management and daily oversight experience.
• Proven leadership in managing and developing accounting staff.
• Strong background in financial reporting, cash flow management, payroll, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple intercompany entities.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing personnel.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Partner with executive leadership to support financial planning and business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with external CPA partners during year-end financial statement preparation.

Construction/Service company that is PE backed and growing by acquisitions, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations, lead a small accounting team, and provide strategic financial insight to executive leadership. What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple intercompany entities.
