Job summary

Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a respected, community-focused healthcare organization to identify its next Controller. This onsite leadership role will mentor the accounting team, partner with executive leadership, and strengthen financial operations in Anacortes, WA, while developing robust budgeting processes.

You’ll oversee month-end close, GAAP reporting, and internal controls, while driving continuous improvement and system optimization across Sage Intacct and related finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Hands-on operational accounting leadership.
• Experience with month-end close, GAAP and internal controls.
• Leadership, coaching and change management experience.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close and financial reporting.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for the accounting team.
• Oversee General Ledger, Payroll Accounting, Accounts Payable and internal controls.
• Continue optimization of Sage Intacct and finance systems.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and capital planning.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Supply Chain and operational leadership.
• Strengthen accounting processes, documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate external audit activities and regulatory reporting.
• Develop operational metrics and drive continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a financially stable hospital that has recently modernized its finance technology platform and is entering its next phase of operational growth.

The organization is seeking a hands‑on Controller who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and partnering closely with executive leadership. Working alongside an incoming CFO, you'll play a key role in developing the accounting team, strengthening financial operations, enhancing internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

This opportunity is ideal for an accounting leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving financial processes, and making a meaningful impact. You'll inherit established accounting operations and have the opportunity to mentor staff, optimize financial systems, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency while partnering with executive leadership to support the organization's continued growth and long‑term success.

Responsibilities

This onsite opportunity is based in Anacortes, WA and offers a competitive salary of $96,279–$144,440, along with relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
