Job summary

CCL Global is seeking a Control Valve Technician Maintenance to support planning and execution in Port Arthur, TX. Responsibilities include developing work scopes, creating and reviewing valve-related work packages, and ensuring QA/QC of outputs.

Candidate must read P&IDs, BOMs, and valve specifications, with 5+ years in valve maintenance. Travel may be required; local candidates preferred. Proficiency with SAP and Primavera is expected.

  • Ability to QA/QC work packages after work completion.
  • Understanding of Preventive Maintenance programs and translating PM requirements into work packages.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of the control valve work scope.
  • Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution.
  • Read BOMs and identify parts required for valve overhauls.
  • Perform and lead field walks for site verification and completion of control valve surveys.
  • Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigation of safety issues.
  • Organize materials through expediting, pricing, and ensuring correct parts are available.
  • Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra for each work order with tasks, durations, and disciplines.
  • Create job planning packages for each work order for distribution, including photos, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, and QC requirements.
  • Support Management of Change processing with required documentation and recommendations.
  • Communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and complete closeout documentation.

Job description

  • 5+ YEARS OF CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE and/or control valve maintenance planning
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, valve specifications, and location plans

POSITION DETAILS
  • Location: Port Arthur, TX
  • Local candidates preferred
  • Planning schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Planning phase: August 2026 - July 2027
  • Execution phase: January 2028 - March 2028
  • Travel: May be required up to 25-35%, depending on projects
  • Required PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and FRC clothing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Effectively interact with multi-functional areas including Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, and Quality.
  • Understand control valve construction and workflow processes.
  • Understand and apply applicable company quality standards.
  • Accurately perform other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with development of the control valve work scope.
  • Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution.
  • Read BOMs and identify parts required for valve overhauls.
  • Perform and lead field walks for site verification and completion of control valve surveys.
  • Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigation of safety issues in operations.
  • Organize materials through expediting, obtaining pricing, and ensuring correct parts are available for each job.
  • Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra for each work order using planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
  • Create job planning packages for each work order for internal and external distribution, including bid events and contractor field personnel. Packages may include photographs, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, and QC requirements.
  • Support the Management of Change process by recognizing plant changes and completing required documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns effectively to other groups.
  • Maintain and communicate high housekeeping standards in assigned areas and job sites, including formal inspections.
  • Complete closeout and documentation in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
