Job summary

NextDecade seeks a Specialist, Control Systems in Brownsville, TX to safely execute maintenance on LNG control systems, including breakdowns, preventive and corrective tasks. You will work with Electrical, Mechanical, and process engineers to optimize loops and automation strategies, ensuring compliance and safety.

Strong knowledge of SIS/ESD, PLCs, DCS, and ABB 800xA is required, along with CMMS SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Safety Critical Elements (SCE) testing and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to write and update safety testing procedures.
• Familiarity with LNG control systems and emergency shutdown concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform control system maintenance, including breakdowns and preventive work.
• Coordinate with operations for tune-ups, upgrades, and testing.
• Update CMMS records and maintain documentation across procedures.
• Support major maintenance turnarounds and safety reviews.
• Diagnose faults in control networks and optimize loops.
