Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks a seasoned Maintenance Specialist, Controls to lead the safe and efficient operation of plant automation at the Cameron, LA site. The role centers on DCS/PLC/SIS expertise, regulatory compliance, and ongoing system improvements within a high‑integrity LNG environment.

The successful candidate will mentor technicians, drive troubleshooting, and support upgrades and integration efforts across control systems, networking, and cybersecurity while adhering to ISA, NFPA 70E,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with PLC/DCS experience.
Minimum 5 years controls maintenance in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments.
Experience with DCS/SIS/PLC, analyzers, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of DCS, PLC, SIS, and analyzer systems.
Conduct function testing and maintain regulatory logs and reporting (MOC, audit, etc.).
Troubleshoot using historians and diagnostic tools; implement corrective actions.
Mentor technicians on hardware, tuning, alarms, and startup procedures.
Support brownfield utilities integration, migrations, and major DCS upgrades.
Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, RCA, P&ID reviews and risk assessments.
Prepare SIS test procedures and validations; perform SIS validations.
Design-manage in-plant fiber schedules; maintain Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet networks.
Coordinate vendor engineering requests and contractor performance.
Drive Ready-for-Operations (RFO) projects to design, test, and commission control-system updates.
