Job summary

Vertech Industrial Systems, LLC is seeking a Control Systems Integrator II for food & beverage plants. You will design and implement PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions using Rockwell and Ignition, build SCADA/MES screens, and deliver reliable automation for processing lines.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 2–5 years PLC/SCADA experience, and knowledge of MES and OEE concepts. Remote US work option with competitive benefits and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, chemical or related engineering field or relevant experience.
• Two to five years of experience developing PLC controlled SCADA systems, preferably in a project based industry.
• At least one year of hands-on experience developing PLC programs, HMI screens, and SCADA systems.
• Solid understanding of at least one major PLC platform (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, or Modicon) and one HMI/SCADA platform (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE, or GE Proficy).
• A basic understanding of MES and OEE concepts.
• Food and beverage plant experience, such as batching, CIP, or packaging lines, is a big plus.
• Ignition or Wonderware certified, or willing to earn certification within your first year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, program and implement PLC/HMI based control systems for food and beverage plants, primarily using Rockwell and Ignition.
• Build SCADA and MES screens, alarming, and reports, including OEE and downtime tracking, for processing and packaging lines.
• Write structured, well-documented, bug-free PLC code using reusable AOIs and UDTs.
• Design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing HMI interfaces.
• Turn customer-supplied control descriptions, electrical drawings, and P&IDs into IO lists and a working software design.
• Take smaller projects from start to finish, with direction from senior integrators and project leads on larger ones.
• Test your software thoroughly in-house before it reaches the client, and support on-site startup and commissioning.
