GrayMatter is hiring a Control Systems Engineer for the Building Automation Services team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on managing projects with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach, coordinating between mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to ensure reliable operation across platforms.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in control systems, PLC programming, and SCADA experiences, plus strong problem-solving and customer service skills. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/EET/ME/MET or equivalent.
• 4+ years of control systems experience with PLCs and SCADA.
• Experience with electrical schematics and power distribution.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform GrayMatter services for data center, power generation, and manufacturing industries.
• Design, develop and implement solutions to meet project goals.
• Lead integration between mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for seamless operation.
• Lead commissioning procedures, test scripts, and documentation validation.
• Consult with and train end users on new applications.
• Assist in project development and planning.
• The position is local but may require up to 50% travel.
