Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a hands‑on controls design engineer to partner with cross‑functional teams and deliver custom machinery on schedule. You’ll create robust control systems and ensure designs are clear, buildable, and well‑documented.

You will design controls across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic domains, produce BOMs, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly instructions and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 2 years working with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proven ability to size electrical systems effectively.
• Comfort making quick design updates while collaborating in a team environment.
• Clear, proactive communication and a commitment to on‑time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Create controls designs for custom machines across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic domains using EPLAN, AutoCAD, or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Produce complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned to schematics and design intent.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly instructions, process control guidelines, and quality workmanship procedures.
• Maintain steady communication with program managers and controls engineers to keep information flowing and milestones on track.
• Apply strong conceptual thinking to determine the right level of detail at each design stage.
