Job summary

iMPact Business Group is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and support electrical control systems for custom machinery and industrial automation equipment. This hands-on role covers the project lifecycle from electrical design through testing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, and control panels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience designing electrical controls for industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with electrical CAD/design software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for custom machinery and automated equipment.

Our client is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and support electrical control systems for custom machinery and industrial automation equipment. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the project lifecycle, from electrical design and PLC programming through testing, troubleshooting, and implementation.

What You’ll Do

• Design electrical control systems for custom machinery and automated equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, machine controls, and wiring methods
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience with electrical CAD/design software
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Custom machinery, automation, or machine-building experience
