Job summary

Search Masters is seeking an experienced electrical designer to lead the design and development of industrial controls for custom automated machinery in Mentor, Ohio. You will produce electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and detailed installation documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in industrial electrical design and control panel development.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of control systems and the NEC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of industrial controls for custom automated machinery.
• Produce electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and detailed installation documentation.
• Create and revise CAD drawings utilizing AutoCAD Electrical or similar platforms.
• Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) to support manufacturing and procurement processes.
• Collaborate closely with panel shop technicians to resolve design issues and optimize buildability.
• Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during panel fabrication, testing, commissioning and startup phases.
