Job summary

GS Group is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer in the Industrial Automation sector. You will own electrical design from initial concept through customer sign-off, bridging Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to deliver complete electrical and pneumatic design packages.

You will lead customer discussions, ensure high quality and safety, manage design changes on the shop floor, and coordinate timely documentation and delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in electrical or controls design.
• Strong AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical skills.
• Comfortable designing low-voltage control systems with pneumatic elements.
• A clear communicator who can support junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Be the electrical point of contact in customer meetings, walking through designs and leading reviews.
• Hold designs to a high quality and safety bar, in line with industry best practice.

A growing system integrator in industrial automation is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to bridge Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams, turning project requirements into finished electrical and pneumatic design packages for customers.

A strong fit for someone ready to take on more ownership of the customer relationship, from first draft through to sign-off.
