Job summary

HDR is seeking a Control Systems EIT/Designer to participate in the design of complex SCADA systems and support instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment selection in Montana.

You will assist in drafting construction documents, developing PLC/HMI software, and performing system testing and commissioning while advancing toward EIT certification and career progression within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of complex SCADA systems
• Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment
• Assist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents
• Assist with the development of software applications for automation such as PLC and HMI
• Assist with system testing and commissioning activities
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel
• Perform other duties as needed
