Job summary

HDR is seeking a Control Systems Design Coordinator to participate in SCADA system design and the development of instrumentation and control documents. You will assist with PLC/HMI software, testing, and commissioning, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across projects.

You will design building automation deliverables under supervision, align with clients and internal stakeholders, and contribute to successful project execution for a variety of concurrent assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
• Assist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents.
• Assist with the development of software applications for automation such as programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI).
• Assist with system testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
