Vantage Consulting is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to work from our Chicago office. This role is 100% hands-on, not a management position, with heavy customer interaction and mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

Travel up to 20% is required while supporting Water/Waste Water, Chemical, Pharma, and O&G projects across industries. Proficiency in programming from scratch using Rockwell PLCs is essential.

• Senior level Controls Engineer with hands-on responsibilities.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead technical discussions.
• Experience explaining technical decisions to customers.

Mansioni

• Program Rockwell PLCs from scratch and integrate with existing systems.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and explain design choices.

I'm working with one of the countries biggest Integrators as they look to hire Senior Controls Engineers to work out of their Chicago office.

They have a team that is mainly built up of Junior/Mid Engineers, and they're looking for Senior Engineers who can mentor them, and teach them some of the skills that you've developed in your career.

This is very much a 100% hands on Engineering position, and not management.

Rockwell PLCs

Any industry background is fine here - They work with Water/Waste Water, Chemical, Pharma, O&G etc

Must be proficient in programming from scratch

Willing to travel 20%

Customer facing - They want Engineers that can explain to a customer why things are being done a certain way, or why projects are running slightly behind
