Job summary

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Security Dispatcher to monitor CCTV, alarms, and radio traffic across courthouse facilities. You will coordinate emergency responses and act as a liaison between the public and safety personnel.

Responsibilities include reviewing incident reports, notifying law enforcement as needed, screening visitors and packages, controlling access, and supporting parking operations at the courthouse. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with security systems preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, radio traffic, alarms, panic alarms, elevator emergency calls, outside call boxes and security areas.
• Dispatch radios to security personnel and liaise with the public and safety personnel during emergencies.
• Monitor opening/closing of facilities and coordinate with fire alarm companies as needed.
• Review, log and disseminate security incident reports; investigate incidents and prepare reports.
• Notify local law enforcement and fire department as needed.
• Screen vendors, visitors, employees and packages; control building access and assign key access.
• Assist with parking lot equipment malfunctions and prepare access lists; data entry for daily events.
• Assist visitors and employees exiting the parking garage after hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
