Job summary

EnergyUnited is seeking a Control Room Technical Specialist to serve as a technical expert within our control room environment, blending technology, electric system operations, troubleshooting, and real-time problem solving to support operators. You will monitor OMS, SCADA, ADMS, and related systems, provide system training with the Control Room Supervisor, and review switching orders to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for control room systems and provide technical support to Operators.
• Partner with Control Room Supervisor to develop and provide system training.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of OMS, SCADA, ADMS, and related systems.
• Monitor SCADA alarms, abnormal conditions, system data, crew listings, and connectivity.
• Monitor and operate ADMS and SCADA; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Review switching orders from SCADA/ADMS and coordinate with Engineering and Grid Modernization for accuracy.
• Monitor Dynamic Voltage Regulation and assist with optimization.
• Support SCADA/ADMS testing, reporting, modifications, and upgrades.
• Partner with IT, GIS, Engineering, Grid Modernization, and Technical Services on system issues.
• Support emergency restoration during major outages and storms.
