Job summary

Vistra in Reading, PA, is seeking a Plant Operator to oversee the operation, monitoring, and control of all power plant systems from the Control Room. You will handle start-ups/shut-downs, respond to alarms, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance in line with commercial commitments.

• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control power plant systems from the Control Room.
• Perform start-ups/shut-downs and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Coordinate maintenance using safe work practices and LOTOV/LOCKOUT requirements.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment; perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge of electronic control systems and safety procedures.
