Job summary

DHL eCommerce in Port Reading, NJ is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor and maintain the automated sorter and conveyors in accordance with company policies.

You will verify daily sort plans, communicate hourly volumes, perform virtual maintenance on the BeOS system, and coordinate downtimes with technicians and management. Strong Excel/Office skills, ability to read BOLs, and the capacity to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year warehouse/transportation experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and schedules.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Verify daily sort plan configuration and hourly volumes using BeSSVIEW.
• Perform virtual sorter maintenance and acknowledge faults on BeOS system.
• Coordinate downtimes for repairs with automation technicians and management.
• Ensure efficiency and accuracy of sorter; perform pre-sort checks and daily priming of conveyors.
• Monitor camera system for jams; communicate issues to managers and technicians.
• Document arrivals of trailers and maintain control logs.
• Complete paperwork and ensure safety and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as directed by DHL.
