Job summary

UPS in New Jersey is seeking a Cross-Belt Sorter Controls Tech to maintain the PLC and I/O systems that run our cross-belt sortation loop. You will troubleshoot belt faults with diagnostic software, configure barcode scanner trigger timing, and keep the sort system operating at peak capacity.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of sortation controls or industrial PLC experience, with hands-on knowledge of Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, and a solid understanding of cross-belt sorter control

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sortation controls or industrial PLC experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cross-belt sorter control architecture.
• Barcode scanner network configuration experience.
• Ability to work third shift (11 PM - 7 AM).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the PLC and I/O systems for our cross-belt sorter loop.
• Troubleshoot carrier belt faults using diagnostic software.
• Configure barcode scanner trigger timing to ensure accurate scans.
• Keep the sort system running at maximum capacity.
