Job summary

Enviva seeks a Control Room Operator to monitor plant systems from the control room, respond to alarms, and ensure safe, efficient operation of the facility in Mississippi. You will oversee chip and fuel feeds, furnace, dryer, sizing lines, and pellet presses, translating signals into production actions while maintaining equipment readiness.

The role requires basic math, ability to read procedures, and familiarity with HMIs.

Qualifications

• Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and written procedures.
• Must possess basic computer & math skills.
• Able to learn how to operate HMI touch screens.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant functions from the control room.
• Monitor and manage chip feed, fuel feed, furnace, dryer, and pellet press systems.
• Act as overall contact for plant operations and respond to alarms.
• Monitor indicator screens, signal lights, production rates, and system status; adjust processes as needed.
• Communicate with team members and respond to calls for assistance.
