Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is hiring a Control Room Operator responsible for executing plant start-up and shutdown procedures while ensuring compliance with operational, environmental, and safety commitments.

The role requires guiding crane, auxiliary, and back plant operators, monitoring systems, and interpreting blueprints and P&ID schematics to respond to alarms and emergencies effectively.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASME QRO Provisional Licensing required within first year of holding the position.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Monitor operations systems and demonstrate strong knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
  • Read blueprints, P&IDs, and schematic specifications.
  • Manage critical events and prioritize tasks during emergencies, giving clear directions on safety and environmental tasks.
  • Respond to operational alarms and take immediate corrective action.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of best practices and problem solving to support safety and operations goals.

About the role

As a Control Room Operator, you will execute the approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to assure that the facility meets it's operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation
  • Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations
  • Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID's, and schematic specifications
  • Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks
  • Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Reworld's safety and operational goals
Position Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the position
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Physical Demands of the Role

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces. Qualify to wear a full-face respirator. Consistently work in various weather conditions.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 33.22 - 44.18 USD per hour.
