Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Control Process Operator to set up and operate machines, read blueprints, and transfer materials to storage areas.

You will work with break presses, plasma table, and drill press, operate overhead cranes, and ensure quality and safety standards. The role requires reliable attendance and ability to lift heavy materials.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:00 am - 4:30 pm with mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year operating a 20' or larger break press, Plasma Table, or Drill Press.
• Experience with angle grinders/metal manufacturing/fabrication.
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Experience operating forklifts.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements.
• Must maintain reliable, regular attendance.
• Must be able to stand, climb, and lift materials in excess of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate any or all of the following machines: 20' Break Press, 26’ Break Press, 60' Break Press, Plasma Table, Kinetic (Drill Press).
• Form and or cut materials into predesignated shapes and sizes.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustments.
• Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Control Process Operator for our plant operation located in Fort Worth, TX. The Control Process Operator sets up and operates machines, and may use blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.

What you will need:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a 20’ or larger break press, Plasma Table, or Drill Press, preferably breaking and/or cutting steel up to 2” thick
• Working knowledge/experience with angle grinders/metal manufacturing/fabrication
• Experience operating overhead cranes
• Experience operating forklifts
• Ability to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements
• The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
• The ability to stand throughout the day, and climb on/off equipment, and lift materials in excess of 50 pounds regularly
• A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
