Job summary

California Hydronics Corp in Hayward, CA is seeking skilled electricians or technicians to build a long-term career with ownership in their work. The role focuses on wiring, testing, and diagnosing industrial control panels for automation systems.

You will route and terminate wiring for PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, perform FAT support, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. A high school diploma is required; technical credentials are a plus, with ESOP and strong benefits highlighted.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial electrical or control panel wiring experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use hand tools confidently.
• High school diploma; technical degree/cert is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wire, test, and troubleshoot UL 508A panels and systems using schematics.
• Route, label, and terminate wiring for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor starters, and power distribution equipment.
• Conduct continuity checks, pre-power inspections, and assist FAT.
• Diagnose wiring errors and maintain redline documentation for Engineering.
• Follow OSHA, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Wire, test, and troubleshoot UL 508A industrial control panels and automation systems using electrical schematics.
• Route, label, and terminate wiring for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor starters, and power distribution equipment.
• Conduct continuity checks, pre-power inspections, and assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Diagnose wiring errors or electrical faults and maintain redline documentation for Engineering.
• Follow strict OSHA, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout protocols.

What You Bring

• Experience: 2+ years of industrial electrical or control panel wiring experience.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or electrical trade cert is a plus).
• Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and use hand tools/test equipment confidently.
• Bonus Points: Experience with UL 508A panels, NEC standards, VFDs/PLCs, or a Journeyman Electrician certification.
