Job summary

Carotek, a SunSource company, seeks an electrical panel assembler to assemble panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses for industrial equipment. You will fabricate controls, mount components, and ensure proper wiring layouts per specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes and wire harnesses for industrial equipment.
• Fabricate controls according to specifications, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel and wiring of all components.
• Determine dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures.
• Mount components to back panels and enclosures.
• Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
• Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, interfaces and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
• Maintain red line drawing mark‑ups of changes required during fabrication.
• Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
• Work in a warehouse‑type environment, full‑time Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Overtime may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

• Must be able to read control system wiring diagrams, read and write English, follow verbal instructions, use simple math and interpret documents, convert metric to standard measurement and convert degrees to inches.
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, terminology, electrical schematics; proficiency in the use of measuring equipment, levels, squares and various hand tools.
