Job summary

Carotek, a SunSource company, is seeking an assembler for electrical control panels and related components in a warehouse setting. You will read wiring diagrams, fabricate controls to spec, and assemble back panels with careful attention to dimensions, mounting, routing, and wiring standards.

The role requires proficiency with electrical theory, measuring tools, and hand tools. Monday–Friday hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read control system wiring diagrams.
  • Must read and write English and follow verbal instructions.
  • Able to perform simple math and interpret documents.
  • Convert metric to standard measurements and degrees to inches.
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, terminology, electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in using measuring equipment, levels, squares and various hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes and wire harnesses.
  • Fabricate controls per specifications, mounting components to back panel and wiring of all components.
  • Determine dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures.
  • Mount components to back panels and enclosures.
  • Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot panels to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
  • Maintain red line drawing mark‑ups of changes required during fabrication.
  • Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
