Actalent seeks an Electrical Engineer in Dallas, TX to design and implement control panel solutions for industrial applications. You will prepare BOMs, schematics, and detailed layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, while ensuring compliance with NEC, IEC, UL standards and UL 508A.

The role emphasizes collaboration with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to meet specifications, analyze loads, and optimize for cost, serviceability, and maintainability.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in control panel design; 5+ years preferred in relevant industry.
• Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles, power distribution, motor control, drive packages, VFDs.
• Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEC, UL standards incl. UL 508A.
• Experience applying NEC to control panel designs.
• Familiar with 480V applications for motors and pumps.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop control panel solutions for industrial applications.
• Generate BOMs based on design specifications.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Perform power and system calculations (load, voltage drop, short-circuit).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements and resolve design challenges.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Stay current with industry standards and regulatory changes.
• Optimize designs for cost, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support procurement with component selection and vendor evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure designs comply with UL 508A, UL 67, UL 891, NEC, and other standards.
• Contribute to drive packages and motor control system integrations.
• Support ETO processes for customizable products.
