Job summary

Motion Industries in Anaheim, CA seeks a Service Technician to repair, service, and build standard and custom hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. Under direct supervision, you will disassemble, diagnose, repair, assemble, test, and ship equipment, while assisting customers with technical questions and quotes.

Typical duties include fabricating, welding, maintaining shop equipment, and performing maintenance on customer products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is typically required.
• Must be able to read hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, and inspects components for repair.
• Diagnoses components and advises customers on solutions.
• Prepares job forms listing parts and work required.
• Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
• Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assembles new and repaired equipment.
• Tests repaired equipment and prepares for shipment or storage.
• Answers technical questions to assist customers.
• May provide quotes or take customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains and services customer products in the shop.
