Responsibilities

  • Read and understand electrical drawings and panel layouts.
  • Build and wire industrial control panels.
  • Install DIN rail, wire duct, terminal blocks, PLC hardware, and other electrical components.
  • Cut, strip, terminate, label, and route wires.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Follow drawings, specifications, and quality-control checklists.
  • Keep wiring and panel layouts clean, organized, and professional.
  • Assist with panel testing and FAT.
  • Prepare completed control panels for shipment to customer sites.

About Southern Flow Inc.

SFI is a leading systems integration firm specializing in creating innovative, custom "turn-key" control systems for water and wastewater plants across the Southeast. Based in Alpharetta, GA, we're looking for a Control Panel Builder to join our growing team. You don't need years of electrical experience to be successful here. Basic electrical experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who is dependable, mechanically/electrically inclined, detail oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Advanced panel building (Control Panel Builder I, II, and III)
  • Quality control and testing
  • Field service and commissioning (Controls Technician I, II, and III)
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and panel layouts
  • Build and wire industrial control panels
  • Install DIN rail, wire duct, terminal blocks, PLC hardware, and other electrical components
  • Cut, strip, terminate, label, and route wires
  • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
  • Follow drawings, specifications, and quality-control checklists
  • Keep wiring and panel layouts clean, organized, and professional
  • Assist with panel testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Prepare completed control panels for shipment to customer sites
We'll Teach You:
  • Shop & Tool Basics: Hand and power tools, shop safety, electrical drawings, wire preparation, ferrules, and labeling
  • Electrical Components: Terminal blocks, relays and breakers, PLC hardware, HMIs and other control components, proper torque and installation, and professional wire routing
  • Panel Building: Building panels from electrical drawings, wiring and component installation, quality-control procedures, and panel testing
