The role designs, configures, integrates, installs, commissions, troubleshoots, maintains, and calibrates a wide variety of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and substation intelligent electronic equipment. The technician develops and maintains the systems and interfaces that provide critical data, monitoring, alarm annunciation, and control capabilities to system operators. Sustained postures are maintained occasionally in awkward positions/tight spaces. Lifting/carrying of up to 30 lbs. is performed as well as pushing/pulling (10-15 lbs. force) in utilizing carts/hand carts. 80% of work activities are typically performed sitting at computer.
