Job summary

Apetan Consulting LLC in Connecticut is seeking a skilled Control Engineer to design and optimize PLC-based automation for client manufacturing lines. You will troubleshoot, commission, and improve automated equipment across multiple projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk, and machine vision systems (Cognex/Keyence). You will read schematics, develop ladder logic and FBs, and support DFMEA/PFMEA activities while traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of controls engineering or PLC programming.
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk.
• Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems.
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic, SCL, and FBD.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and validating equipment.
• Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix.
• Work with FactoryTalk ME/SE for HMI and SCADA applications.

• Support equipment commissioning and travel domestically up to 10%.
