Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Controls Engineer in Illinois to design and develop control panels and manufacturing equipment, and to design electrical wiring schematics. The role focuses on control logic development and PLC programming with ladder logic, plus HMI design and programming.

You will establish and support updates to controls standards, plus perform debug and buyoff of controls functions, ensuring robust and safe automation solutions for production lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years in related fields (material handling, automation, machine design, data collection).
  • PLC programming with Allen Bradley experience.
  • Schematic and hardware design experience.
  • Experience with RS Logix 5000, RS View, PanelBuilder, Fanuc robotics, AutoCAD, Ethernet IP, EPLAN.

Job description

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required (including, but not limited to, material handling, automation, machine design, complex data collection, etc.).
  • PLC programming and development (Allen Bradley) experience.
  • Schematic and hardware design.
  • Additional experience in the following areas preferred: RS Logix 5000, RS View, PanelBuilder, Robotics Fanuc, AutoCAD, Ethernet IP, EPLAN.
  • Working knowledge: sufficient familiarity with the subject to know basic principles and terminology and to understand and solve simple problems.
