Job summary

IAC Group in Michigan is seeking an automation technician to manage capital equipment processes from raw materials to finished goods. The role demands proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming, HMI development, Ethernet/IP, and electrical schematics, with hands-on work on servos, VFDs, and Fanuc robots.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with maintenance and quality on projects, training personnel, documenting controls, and supporting PFMEA activities and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000)
• Proficiency in HMI development (FactoryTalk)
• Strong understanding of Industrial Ethernet/IP
• Read and interpret electrical schematics
• Experience with servos and VFDs
• Fanuc robot programming (2+ years)
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality on project work
• Safety Equipment (Keyence)
• Vision Systems (Keyence Cameras and Scanners)
• Proficiency in debugging controls systems

• Establish controls and parameters for maintaining and monitoring the process.
• Train personnel on how to maintain the process and identify any critical issues that may need special attention.
• Document all process controls.
• Participate in PFMEA activities.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and scrap reduction.

Position Specific Requirements (PSR):

• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000)
• Proficiency in HMI development (Factorytalk)
• Strong Understanding of Industrial communications protocols (mostly Ethernet/IP)
• Read and Interpret Electrical schematics
• Experience with servos and VFDs
• Fanuc robot programming (2+ years)
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality on project work
• Safety Equipment (Keyence)
