Qualifications

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an established Systems Integrator in Houston, TX who are looking to add experienced Controls Engineers and Commissioning Engineers to their growing team.

The company delivers automation and controls solutions primarily across the Renewables, Oil & Gas and Water Treatment sectors, while considering engineers with relevant experience from a range of industrial backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC control systems
• Program Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs
• Develop and modify SCADA and HMI systems
• Support system integration and controls development
• Commission control systems both in-house and at client sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve controls and automation issues
• Support equipment startup and system testing
• Work closely with clients, engineers and project teams to deliver automation solutions

Required Experience

• Experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer or similar
• Strong Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC programming experience
• Experience with Studio 5000 / RSLogix
• Experience with Ignition SCADA
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV is highly desirable
• Ability to program PLCs from scratch, modify existing code and troubleshoot control systems
• Previous experience with commissioning and startup
• Experience working within a Systems Integration or industrial automation environment

Industry Experience

Experience within Renewables, Oil & Gas or Water Treatment is particularly relevant. Candidates from other industrial sectors with strong controls and automation experience will also be considered.

We are interested in speaking with both Controls Engineers with a strong programming and development background and Commissioning Engineers with extensive field-based commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
