Job summary

Axion Recruitment in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join a leading machinery manufacturer. You will design and develop PLC, HMI, motion control software and support automation systems on integrated production lines.

You’ll program, commission and optimize these systems, integrate third‑party equipment, configure EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA and Modbus TCP networks, and contribute to FAT/SAT activities.

Qualifications

• Experience programming PLC-based automation systems.
• Strong understanding of IEC 61131-3.
• Experience with industrial networks including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA and Modbus TCP.
• Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7 experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within machinery manufacturing or industrial automation environments preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do
