We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Systems Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will design, program, and implement cutting-edge control systems to optimize automation processes for a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
- Design and develop control system architecture, including hardware and software solutions tailored to project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to gather specifications and develop effective control strategies.
- Conduct on-site commissioning and start-up support to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including system drawings, user manuals, and programming logic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in industrial automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience programming and configuring PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms. Siemens preferred but also Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Wonderware, VT SCADA platforms desired.
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex automation issues.
- Knowledge of control system hardware, including PLC controllers, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
