Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Control Account Manager/Avionics Integration Engineer to be on-site in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on controlling cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple statements of work.

Responsibilities include forecasting, EVM updates, and presenting to stakeholders. The candidate will lead cross-functional IPTs, manage budgets, and ensure CSCIs are mapped in IMS, with a DoD Top Secret clearance required for access to program information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of applicable experience, or 3 years with a Master’s, or 1 year with a Ph.D., or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with CAM certification.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams responsible for cost and schedule of the technical baseline.
  • Experience with Control Account Management and Earned Value Management methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point.

Position Summary

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Control Account Manager (CAM)/Avionics Integration Engineer. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, FL location.

Deliverables / Responsibilities
  • Work with technical team, leadership, and Business Management team to gather information to control cost, schedule and performance of multiple statements of work.
  • Forecast financial data and deliver monthly program reports/presentations.
  • Update Earned Value Management (EVM) tools and provide detailed cost account status.
  • Support program requirements and present at government control account manager meetings.
  • Perform CAM duties, coordinate with technical leadership in a cross‑functional Integrated Program Team (IPT), and meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to program stakeholders.
  • Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline.
  • Participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meetings.
  • Enter periodic Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, support stakeholder meetings, review Actual Hours reports.
  • Calculate & enter Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETCs) into the financial system and generate Variance Reports.
  • Coordinate with scheduling team to develop and execute IMS.
  • Coordinate Earned Value Change Requests (EVCRs) with the Business Management and Scheduling team as needed.
  • Review labor resources and cost actuals weekly, initiate action on discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all internal processes for Program Management.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments and provide cost and schedule impacts for engineering change management packages.
  • Ensure Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs) are mapped correctly in the IMS.
Essential Functions

Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of applicable experience, or 3 years with a Master’s degree, or 1 year with a Ph.D., or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with ability to obtain and maintain program access approval with CAM certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplined teams responsible for cost and schedule of the technical baseline.
  • Experience with Control Account Management and Earned Value Management methodologies.
  • Experience with contracts executing full earned value management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point.
  • Effective communication in a highly technical environment.
  • Willingness to learn program specific technologies/methodologies as applicable to the execution life cycle.
  • Capable of providing Avionics Integration engineering support for the integration of aircraft flight deck systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of model‑based systems engineering process and artifact creation.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and scheduling cross‑functional activities.
Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $147,600.00.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
