The position is located in Melbourne, FL and is titled Principal Control Account Manager (CAM)/Avionics Integration Engineer. Depending on qualifications, it may be filled at the Principal or Senior level.
Responsibilities
- Work with technical, leadership, and Business Management teams to control cost, schedule, and performance of multiple statements of work.
- Gather necessary information for cost, schedule, and performance control.
- Forecast financial data and deliver monthly program reports and presentations.
- Update Earned Value Management (EVM) tools, produce required data products, and review monthly EVM data.
- Provide detailed cost account status and support program requirements.
- Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross‑functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program objectives.
- Develop and deliver presentations to program stakeholders.
- Track budget actuals, forecast near‑term performance, and calculate Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC).
- Generate Variance Reports (VARs), Earned Value Change Requests (EVCRs), and review labor and cost actuals.
- Perform schedule risk assessments and provide cost and schedule impacts for engineering change packages.
- Prepare and present at government control account manager meetings and support stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs) are correctly mapped in the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Basic Qualifications – Principal Control Account Manager (CAM)/Avionics Integration Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience; or Master’s degree and 3 years of experience; or Ph.D. and 1 year of experience.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
- Experience with Control Account Management and Earned Value Management methodologies.
- Experience with contracts executing full earned value management.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
- Capability to lead multi‑disciplined teams and collaborate across functions.
- Effective communication skills in a highly technical environment.
- Avionics Integration engineering support for aircraft flight deck system integration.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Principal Control Account Manager (CAM)/Avionics Integration Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military engineering experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years of experience; or Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
- Experience with Control Account Management and Earned Value Management methodologies.
- Experience with contracts executing full earned value management.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
- Capability to lead multi‑disciplined teams and collaborate across functions.
- Effective communication skills in a highly technical environment.
- Avionics Integration engineering support for aircraft flight deck system integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to learn program‑specific technologies and methodologies.
- Knowledge of model‑based systems engineering processes and artifacts.
- Strong presentation and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Experience with Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and scheduling cross‑functional activities.
Salary
Principal Level: $98,400.00 – $147,600.00 per year.
Senior Level: $122,800.00 – $184,200.00 per year.
Salary is a general guideline; final offers consider experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
