Job summary

Kiewit Corporation is seeking a Contracts Specialist in the infrastructure market to own contracts from start to finish for materials and equipment. You will negotiate terms, manage pricing, monitor shipments, and resolve issues to support projects in the Southeast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in supply chain processes.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering/construction-related supply chain.
• Minimum of 1 year negotiations experience, or demonstrated ability to negotiate subcontracts.
• Experience drafting and managing contracts for materials/equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP and InEight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the contract process for assigned materials/equipment, negotiate terms, manage change orders, and ensure timely delivery.
• Purchase materials at best cost per specifications and drawings.
• Interface with staff, users and vendors to discuss issues and determine corrective action.
• Leverage vendors to generate cost savings for projects.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate vendor proposals to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Support procurement staff meetings and develop procurement templates.
