Job summary

Modivcare seeks a Contracts Specialist II to support the Legal Department by preparing, reviewing, revising, and coordinating execution of standard and moderately complex contracts. This role performs first-level review, identifies non-standard provisions, and researches contract issues while coordinating with attorneys and internal partners.

The position requires a legal-focused degree, 3+ years in a corporate legal setting, and strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
• At least three years in a corporate legal department, law firm, or contract administration.
• Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and legal terminology.
• Ability to identify contractual risks and recognize when attorney review is needed.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and coordinate execution of standard and moderately complex contracts and related documents.
• Perform first-level substantive review of templates and propose revisions for attorney review.
• Support negotiations with attorneys and business stakeholders on routine issues.
• Research contract provisions, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Prepare contract summaries, issue lists, and redlines for attorney review.
• Maintain contract files, version control, and execution records in the CMS.
• Monitor contract status, approval workflows, renewals, and expiration dates.
• Assist with templates, clause libraries, and departmental procedures.
