Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a detail-oriented contract professional to support the Legal Department in drafting, reviewing, and managing utility service and commercial contracts.

You will collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to track issues, coordinate approvals, and ensure timely execution of agreements—strengthening customer commitments and reducing risk across large load and data center relationships.

Qualifications

• ABA Paralegal Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and document management systems.
• Experience supporting utility, energy, or regulated contracting.
• Ability to draft and manage contract templates and summaries.

Responsibilities

• Draft, revise, and maintain customer contract templates and related forms.
• Review terms, redlines, and non-standard provisions; summarize key issues.
• Support negotiations of commercial terms under attorney supervision.
• Manage contract intake, routing, approvals, and storage to ensure timely movement through lifecycle.
• Maintain contract records and track key dates, milestones, and renewals.
• Coordinate with legal, commercial, and business teams on contract terms and implementation.
