Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corporation seeks a Contracts & Risk Management Intern to support the Risk Management team in enhancing contract lifecycle management, governance, and legal operations capabilities.

You will gain hands-on experience reviewing and analyzing commercial agreements, assessing legal and business risks, and contributing to contract management resources and processes, leveraging emerging legal technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited J.D. program.
• Second year of law school preferred.
• Exceptional first-year law students with relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze standard commercial agreements, including NDAs, Stocking Agreements, Supply Agreements, and Master Agreements
• Assist in creating and developing contract negotiation playbooks with preferred company positions, approved alternatives, and escalation requirements
• Support ongoing maintenance and governance of clause libraries
• Work with emerging legal technology platforms, including Spellbook and Docusign CLM, to help to establish the standards that support consistent and efficient contract review practices across the organization
• Assist in evaluating emerging legal and regulatory risks
• Collaborate with other departments and support special projects related to governance, supplier risk management, and compliance initiatives.
