Job description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Contracts & Pricing Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT, responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the Contract and Pricing department. Works under minimal supervision, using initiative and independent judgment. May occasionally lead or direct the work of others.

Job Duties
  1. Collaborate with Supply and Marketing teams to prepare contracts and set up customers, aiming to maximize netbacks for the Commercial group.
  2. Manage customer setups by coordinating with cross-functional teams including credit, tax, and accounting; communicate objectives and updates effectively.
  3. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all company contracts and prices.
  4. Coordinate with scheduling, billing, and accounting to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing.
  5. Identify potential issues proactively to prevent sales problems and enhance customer experience.
  6. Analyze customer issues independently, proposing and implementing solutions based on general contract and pricing policies.
  7. Prepare necessary back-office setups swiftly to respond to market opportunities or refinery issues.
  8. Develop expertise in internal SAP modules and external software like Deal Capture, DTN TABS, Atlas, and Customer Portal.
  9. Assist in developing and maintaining marketing reports on contract expiration dates for renegotiation purposes.
  10. Establish and document policies and procedures to improve accuracy, communication, and efficiency.
  11. Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Provide backup support, training, and guidance to other team members as needed.

Additional special assignments may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of related work experience required.

Preferred Experience

Four years in the petroleum industry preferred.

Education Level

High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline preferred.

Required Skills

Advanced clerical and data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of contracts and pricing mechanics, excellent communication skills, intermediate math skills, familiarity with trade locations and SAP navigation, and ability to implement new systems effectively.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for leading or supervising others.
